Roller-coaster spin episode 6 dropped some major laughs!
Joo-eun has shed enough weight to actually have a jawline – and Young Ho gets captivated by the newly revived dimples he never even knew she possessed.
But of course, he’s the master of self-control. So no matter how cutesy Joo-eun gets, she stays firmly in her place.
Even though Joo Eun clearly indicates that she wants a more…horizontal interaction, something like maybe, friendship?
All Joo Eun wants is to be treated as an equal, but of course our Young Ho isn’t having that. He’s very much the strait-laced type.
And that’s why the next hour is so fun to watch…where Joo Eun gets to make all three ‘trainers’ play her for one day!
The Triple Treat, as I call them, have to spend their one day laying around, staying out of the gym, power napping – and eating out instead of their usual fit food.
Joo Eun is trying to make some kind of point, which I haven’t figured out yet! But seriously, whatever it is, it’s worth seeing three grown men have to play by her rules, if only for this brief time.
Why does it feel like everyday should be Kang Joo Eun day?
Things aren’t rosy on all fronts though. Young Ho’s grandmother acts like she bears a heavy load. I guess that’s what happens when you’re surrounded by everyone but the people you trust and love.
As for the other couple, pretty evil Soo Jin and caddish Woo sik, looks like the racy romance has slowed to a crawl.
Because ‘bae’ seems to want to spend time away from her and lies he’s busy at work. Never knowing she’s watching him and knows he’s fibbing.
The police station scene with all four of them: Joo-eun, Soo Jin, Woo sik and Young Ho, raises so many issues.
The ex boyfriend who can’t seem to let go (he calls it sympathy) and the ex best friend who has her hidden demons, which can we hate that bit less this week?
As the very eventful “Kang Joo-eun Day” draws to a close, Joo-eun confesses to Young Ho that today wasn’t payback, but a gift.
I think it’s obvious to her that Young Ho needs some sweetness in his life. Can she be the one to melt this stern, restrained-to-a-fault Young Ho’s heart?
Young Ho’s gaze grows warmer each time it rests on Joo-eun.
Are those little tingles developing into full blown earth tremors of love?
My, my, my. Episode 6 ends in the sweetest possible way. With some rain, and a kiss behind the umbrella. Ah Young Ho, you devil! I always knew you had that hidden fire.
Well I guess two kisses in two episodes make it official: this drama is picking up speed.
Or maybe it’s heading fast to nowhere, and our dream couple will take a barrage of steps back next week.
However, what I do want is to see this couple date, and then have issues, and then make up and fall even crazier in love. You know, like real life.
“Kiss so nice, had to capture it twice…”
For now, we know Joo-eun is more an open book, while Young Ho is all mystery. They already have so much stacked against them.
Maybe all this could ever be is a fleeting escape? After all, this could be just what they both need ‘for now’.
After which, Young Ho can go through with his arranged marriage, while the newly fit and fab Joo-eun can focus on her career and maybe some romance in the later future.
Oh don’t mind me. Just feeling my way around, while knowing the drama still has 10 more episodes to mess with us!
All I know is, after this very provocative week, I’m soo ready for more. It’s going to be another long wait – but hasn’t that always been half the fun?
